My Mom and Dad were the first kids in either of their immediate families to earn a college degree in 1970. A huge accomplishment. But in 1970, the cost for room, board, and tuition (according to the National Center for Education Statistics) was about $1,362 PER YEAR!
Today, that same college costs about $24,000 per year. What a massive increase in cost. Over 37 years, that cost is increasing at 6.54%! Almost double inflation. With more and more high school graduates going to college to expand their learning, how are you going to plan for your child or grandchild’s education?
